This is the 1000th poem in this blog, so I wanted to pick something special. And then decided to write the 1000th one, for something special. As I'm leaving Finland for now, what's more special than the place I love so much! Thank you, you wonderful place, for the past two years! It did feel like home here and I'm sure I'll be back sooner or later, and I know I'm gonna miss you much!
I’ll learn to read the stars if I have to
to find my way back here!
I’ll make new map of the world if I have to
to draw you near to where I am!
I’ll run around the globe - all over -
to find the way back to your land!
Thousand winters and summers I’ll live through
to see your shores again!
I’ll walk, and swim, and fly
to come back to where once I felt home.
So don’t forget me and stay up waiting
for I’ll be back here once again!
