When you are silent
and all the world is screaming,
when you’re still
and everyone’s running close…
When you’re away
and I need you the most,
when you are asleep
and my dreams keep me awake…
I fear you speaking up,
I dread you moving,
I scare you coming closer,
I shiver if you’re awake…
For the words might come out killing
and the move might be a blow,
and the distance might only hurt me,
and the reason draw you away again.
